Job Description

  • Approval: Transco approved (DEWA approval may also be considered)
  • Project Scope: Overhead Lines (OHL)
  • Ensure implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and standards across the project
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits regularly
  • Prepare and review HSE documentation including HIRA, Method Statements, and Emergency Response Plans
  • Investigate incidents/accidents and prepare root cause analysis reports
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training sessions
  • Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure compliance
  • Monitor permit-to-work systems, safety signage, and emergency preparedness
  • Report daily/weekly HSE statistics to the HSE Manager and Client
  • Enforce safety rules and ensure use of PPE at all times on site

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety
  • NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory
  • Minimum 5–7 years of HSE experience in infrastructure or power transmission projects, especially in Overhead Line (OHL) works
  • Prior experience with Transco or DEWA approved projects preferred
  • Familiarity with UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
